Shri T. Rabi Sankar Re-appointed as RBI Deputy Governor, Official Circular Says
Recently, an official order was passed by the Central Government of India on April 22, 2025. According to the official orders, Shri T. Rabi Sankar has been appointed as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a tenure period of one year. The decision will be made effective from May 03, 2025, or until further notice, whichever is earlier.
This decision ensures continuity in the senior leadership at the RBI, where Shri Sankar has been involved in important areas like financial markets, payment systems, and digital currency.
The announcement was made by Puneet Pancholy, who serves as the Chief General Manager of the RBI.
