Social Media Posts Now Suggest NEET PG Paper May Have Been Leaked, After NBEMS Confidential Letter Leak. What’s Reality?

When there are just two days left for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024. A social media post from August 7th, which suggested that the entrance exam question paper might have been leaked, has left users in general and aspirants in particular in complete confusion.

However, no official confirmation on NEET PG 2024 paper leak has been made yet, a post was shared by a person named, Dr Dhruv Chauhan on Twitter, where he was alerting candidates of NEET PG 2024 against the hundreds of fraudsters on Telegram claiming to sell NEET PG 2024 question papers.

In this post, he wrote, “Hundreds of Telegram pages claiming to sell NEET PG papers, these frauds should be on Radar of Cybercrime and intelligence bureau because they might or might not have the papers which need to be investigated.”

He also shared numerous screenshots of group chats, where fraudsters were trying to make a fool of NEET PG 2024 candidates by fixing a price to ‘book slots’. One of the screenshots was from a group named ‘NEET-PG LEAKED MATERIALS’ with more than 20,600 members.

One of the shocking things was that in one of the messages, the founder said the leaked material would be of worth ₹75,000, and said in order to buy the material candidates would first need to pay advance money of ₹35,000, further said, after then only the candidate will added to the group that deals with leaked paper information. The fraudster at last said that the leaked papers would be provided one day before the NEET PG 2024 exam.

In another screenshot, one of the fraudsters said, “The board said materials will be prepared 2 hours before the exam just because they don’t want the candidates to believe that there will be leakages…”

One of the users Dr. Raj K Bhagat said on Twitter, “It’s true that paper can’t be prepared just 2 hours prior to exam. There needs to be checking for mistakes and many more things. So the thing that paper is prepared 2 hours before the exam is baseless.” Others believed it was a scam by fraudsters to defraud lakhs of candidates.

Another user, Dr Yash Oza said, “Most probably these paper leak gangs will turn out to be a fraud and students paying lacs will score ducks in exams.”Jamtara gangs” are actively calling all students, offering them paper. An old saying – where ever there are greedy people around, frauds never sleep empty stomach.”

One more user, Gavin E. Rodrigues, said “I’m more concerned about the number of people that are reacting to the telegram message! You are telling me that there are those many people paying for a supposed leaked paper?”

As previously mentioned, the NBEMS has not yet provided an official response in this regard. Exams are getting nearer, thus the situation is concerning. Actually, the exam is scheduled to take place, since it was postponed on June 23 due to the controversy surrounding the leak of NEET PG and other entrance examinations.

The most recent change in the situation occurred just 48 hours after the All FMGs Association (AFA) made a claim regarding the possible leak of a confidential letter from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, or NBEMS, the organization that administers the NEET PG exam. The mentioned letter included information on the test, including the mode of examination, shift timing, and examination centre details. This raised questions regarding the security of administering such a significant medical entrance exam to medical students.

Candidates are advised to note this point that no official confirmation has been made on the NEET PG paper leak, the main motive of this article is to warn aspirants against these recent fraudsters. The NEET PG 2024 question papers have not been made yet. The NEET PG 2024 is scheduled to be held on August 11, 2024.
