South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023: The South Eastern Railway(SER) has invited online application from eligible candidates who are Indian nationals for Trainee Apprentices for Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.
As per South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01.01.2023. The age as recorded in the Matriculation certificate or the Birth certificate shall be reckoned for the purpose only. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
As per South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Last Date of receipt of Application is 02-02-2023 ( 17.00 Hrs).
Trainee Apprentices for Apprenticeship
Matriculation (Matriculate or 10th class in 10+2 examination system) from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and an ITI Pass certificate (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) granted by the NCVT/SCVT.
(i) The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01.01.2023. The age as recorded in the Matriculation certificate or the Birth certificate shall be reckoned for the purpose only.
(ii) Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
(iii) Upper age limit is relaxable by additional 10 years for ex-serviceman upto the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces plus 03 years provided they have put in a minimum of 06 months service at a stretch, except Ex-servicemen who have already joined the Govt. Service on Civil side after availing of the Ex-servicemen status for the purpose of their engagement.
A person is eligible for training under the Apprentices Act,1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules,1992, as amended from time to time, if he or she meets the minimum standards of physical fitness prescribed in the aforementioned act and rules, as well as the standards prescribed for imparting training to the relevant trade, as certified by a Railway Medical Doctor on the prescribed format given at Annexure-II.
Application fees (non-refundable) is Rs.100 only. No fee shall be liable on the SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.
Training in railway establishments under the Apprentices Act of 1961 does not confer any right to default appointment in railway services. However, 20% of the vacancies notified to be filled in the former Gr.D category posts (Grade Pay – Rs.1800/-) will be filled by giving preference to Course Completed Act Apprentices trained in railway establishments and holding National Apprenticeship Certificates granted by NCVT, subject to such candidates being found suitable in other aspects and having scored the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
Before applying, candidates should ensure that they meet all of the eligibility requirements. If, at any point, the candidate’s information turns out to be false, his employment will be terminated immediately. All Annexures in the formats specified for fee exemption must be uploaded.

They must read the detailed instructions before completing the online applications. The candidate must meticulously fill out all relevant items. The particulars, such as name, date of birth, and so on, must match those on the Matriculation certificate.
