In accordance with DIPAM guidelines, the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) paid a Final Dividend of Rs. 240.41 crore to the Government of India for Fiscal Year 2020-21, representing 5% of the Company’s Net Worth as of March 31, 2021 [57 percent of Profit after Tax (PAT) for Fiscal Year 2020-21].

In the presence of Shri Ajay Seth, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), and Ms. Meera Swarup, Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman was presented with a dividend cheque from SPMCIL by Smt. Tripti P. Ghosh, CMD, and Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance).

During the years 2020-21, SPMCIL met its production targets for bank notes, coins, security paper, passports, security inks, and other security items. In 2020-21, SPMCIL produced 8,288 million bank notes, 2,757 million circulation coins, 6,870 Metric Ton (MT) security paper, and 600.42 Metric Ton (MT) security inks.

The company’s revenue from operations is expected to be Rs. 4,712.57 crore in 2020-21, with a profit before tax of Rs. 789.74 crore.

SPMCIL is a Government of India-owned Schedule-A Miniratna Category-I CPSE under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance.
