Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Limited has informed the stock exchanges about the development concerning its business. The company has disclosed that the tribunal, in a recent hearing, has ruled in its favour by sustaining an Order-in-Appeal dated April 27, 2018.

The tribunal has ruled that the company is entitled to a refund of accumulated CENVAT credit along with consequential interest, where applicable, for an amount of Rs 2751 Lakhs. Accordingly, the final decision has been announced in the company's favour, and the Tax Department's appeal has been dismissed.

The company further clarified that as the final decision has been announced in its favour, it does not expect any impact on its financial position.
