TNPSC Recruitment 2022: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission or TNPSC, is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu, and it is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service. It is also the successor of the Madras Service Commission, which was established under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929 and was the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is right now inviting eligible candidates to apply for the vacant post of Health Officer.
The appointment for the following post will be purely on a direct recruitment basis, and the examination for the recruitment will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) method. There are a total of 12 vacancies reserved for the post, including 3 c/f vacancies. Here the details of the post vacant in the TNPSC Recruitment 2022.
Candidates who are interested to apply for the vacant post will have to register their basic particulars through one – time online registration system on payment of Rs. 150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) towards registration fee and then they will be able to apply online for this recruitment. The one-time registration for this recruitment will remain valid five years from the date of registration.
Note: The registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed fee. One Time Registration will not be considered as an application for any post.
Applicants those who are interested in the post of the Health Officer vacant in the TNPSC Recruitment 2022 are directed to read all the information / instructions / guidelines before registering. Clarification if any required, may be obtained over phone and email well ahead of the last date for submission of online application. Candidates should follow the instructions given in the online application also.
Interested candidates must possess an MBBS degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India. Also, he/she must be a retired medical practitioner within the meaning of the Tamil Nadu Medical Registration Act, 1914 (Tamil Nadu Act IV of 1914). The Health Officer must possess a diploma in Public Health awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India Or Must possess M.D.(Social and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine) degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India. Or if the candidate is a Diplomate of National Board in Community Health Medicine awarded by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi, he will be eligible to apply for the post. Or Candidate should have a Master’s degree of Public Health degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.
For the candidates belonging to SC, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories, there is no preferred age limit. And for the other category [i.e. candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs], the preferred age limit is 37 years.
Applicants who will get selected for the post vacant in the TNSPC recruitment 2022 will need to produce a certificate of physical fitness in the form prescribed format. The following certificate should be submitted by the selected candidate to the Appointing Authority at the time of joining to the said post. Applicants those who have defectives vision will have to produce Eye Fitness Certificate from a qualified Eye Specialist working in Government Hospital.
The application fee for One Time Registration for the vacant post will be Rs. 150, and the amount for the examination fee will be Rs. 200. The candidates will have to pay the examination fee at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment.
