Twenty Circulars Withdrawn by RBI Amid Review of Regulatory Guidelines: Know the List
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the withdrawal of 20 regulatory guidelines related to cheques after reviewing the existing regulatory guidelines regarding cheque-related processes.
According to the announcement made by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under Notification No. RBI/2025-26/21, DOR.CO.SOG(Leg) No.S248/09.08.024/2025-26, "as a sequel to the recommendations of Regulation Review Authority (RRA) 2.0, a further review has been undertaken on the existing regulatory guidelines on cheques. Accordingly, the circulars listed in ‘Annex’ are withdrawn with immediate effect".
