UCO Bank Invites Applications from CA Firms for Concurrent Audit Engagements; Apply by Sept 15

UCO Bank has invited eligible practising CA firms to apply for concurrent auditor engagement, with online applications open from September 7 to September 15, 2026.

UCO Bank, Audit and Inspection Department, Head Office, Kolkata, has opened the online window inviting applications for engagement as concurrent auditors to undertake concurrent audit assignments.

Practising firms of Chartered Accountants (CAs) in India can submit these applications, from September 07, 2026 (10:00:00 hrs). The window has been scheduled to end on September 15, 2026 (16:59:59 hrs).

The update has been officially announced via a Notification dated September 07, 2026, in designated branches/offices/loan processing hubs through a computerised application package.

Eligibility to Participate for Engagement as Concurrent Auditors

Only the CA firms who are not presently under a cooling period (meaning those who have not performed any audit continuously for the last three consecutive years in any branches/offices concerning UCO Bank) are eligible to apply for the engagement as concurrent auditors, according to the list of branches mentioned in Annexure – I. CA firms already engaged with UCO Bank, which are not under the cooling period and whose branches are mentioned in Annexure – II, can also fill the application forms for the branches mentioned in Annexure – I.

The following are some conditions that must be fulfilled to be eligible for engagement:

  1. If any partner of a CA firm is also serving as a director on the Board of the Bank, then no partner pertaining to the same firm can be appointed as a Concurrent Auditor in UCO Bank.

  2. The firm should be a chartered accountant (CA) partnership firm.

  3. Firms having CISA/DISA-qualified professionals and those with experience in concurrent audits of public sector or major private sector banks are also eligible.

  4. The Bank will also give weightage to firms having partners who are former bankers or have arrangements with experienced ex-bankers. Preference may be given to firms located close to the concerned branch. Firms must have adequate office infrastructure and personnel and cannot subcontract the audit assignment. They must also ensure that neither the firm nor its associate or network firm is conducting the statutory audit of UCO Bank or any of its branches.

The Concurrent Audit will cover transactions and activities specified under the bank's audit framework and applicable RBI directions. Auditors will identify irregularities, ensure their rectification and submit monthly reports by the 10th of the following month. Serious irregularities, fraud, corruption or other major issues must be reported immediately to higher authorities.

For monthly audits, auditors must visit the branch daily, while CA partners must visit at least once a week. Additional responsibilities will apply to B-category branches, Currency Chests and Loan Processing Hubs, including checks relating to forex transactions, SWIFT messages, currency balances and loan proposals.
