Overview:

Citi Bank is hiring an experienced FB&R Ledger Analyst (Ledger Standards Operationalization) – VP at their Mumbai location.  The FB&R Transformation Solutions Lead Analyst willsupport the delivery of Citi’s Finance Transformation priorities (including the Strategic Accounting & Ledger Program). This is a dynamic role within Citi’s Finance transformation that will provide significant experiences, and will require an ability to partner extensively with stakeholders across many lines of businesses and functions.

Ideal candidates are proactive problem solvers with in-depth knowledge of accounting and FB&R processes, possess an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and have excellent communication /interpersonal skills. The position provides both program delivery and thought leadership in improving effectiveness by supporting end-to-end solutions that drive efficiency and repeatability.

What will you be doing:

Standardize the chart of accounts across Citi’s operating and reporting ledger

Ensure the usage of consistent standards and hierarchies across Finance for ledger, infrastructure and reporting

Content Standardization through rationalization of account attributes

Support the Global Governance through alignment of maintenance teams

Implement a Single Global Repository within DSMT for all Flexcube Ledger Standards

Drive process consistency and efficiency across Finance platforms

Partner closely with Corporate Reporting, Controllers, Technology, Accounting Policy, Treasury, Tax, Operations, and FRSS

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Partner with other Product Owners (Accounting, Ledger, Close, Operating Model, Process, or Controls) to coordinate priorities and ensure consistency of deliverables and artifacts across all workstreams

Support business cases through data analysis, efficiency measures

Participate in analyzing, understanding patterns, and provide results to define the future state service delivery and sustainment model

Qualifications for this Job:

5-7+ years of relevant experience within Finance, Accounting or related field in the financial services industry

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

Strong background in one or more areas of finance preferred

Strong understanding of Citi Finance infrastructure, data standards and financial products

Experience with Agile project management, Scrum methodology preferred

Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in absence of detailed instructions

Process reengineering and change management preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks and work with geographically diverse resources

Ability to see the “big picture” without losing attention to detail

Strong communication skills (written, verbal, active listening); ability to synthesize key messages and influence others

Strong analytical skills, acting as an expert or advisor on accounting and recording matters
