Varsity: DU Teaches Students Concepts of Patriotism and Compassion Under 'Acharsala' Initiative
Delhi University teaches its students about the concepts of patriotism and compassion under its "Acharsala" program, on Wednesday, Varsity said.
Under the "Acharsala" program, the university conducted the third session of its lecture series, held by the Dean of Student Welfare, as said by the Delhi University.
In further said, "Delhi University's Contribution to the Development of Human Values" is the theme of the lecture.
Last year, the Delhi Univerity launched an initiative called "Acharsala" in November, held fortnightly to offer students opportunities to learn directly from experts and engage in open discourse.
DU's Dean of Student Welfare, Ranjan Kumar Tripathi said, providing the details of the event among students, "naturally develop feelings of patriotism and compassion".
His statement, "Acharsala is one of the ambitious plans of Delhi University’s Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Singh. The initiative aims to reflect the university’s glorious traditions in the behaviour of students, with the goal of naturally developing feelings of patriotism and compassion,".
The chief guest, Rajeev Gupta, CEO of Delhi University’s Institution of Eminence, his third lecture, delivered students lecture on the integral role of educational institutions in fostering human values, integrity, and ethical responsibility.
Niranjan Kumar, Dean of the Planning Division at Delhi University, was invited as a special guest, shared with students the importance of humanities and social sciences in developing human values and also shared about the e importance of academic excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
Nand Kumaram, Managing Director of Digital India Corporation and CEO of the National e-Governance Division, also shared their views during the program, on technology and human values with students and teachers. As per his statement, he taught students about the proper use of technology with a sense of duty while adhering to ethical principles.
As per the statement, the Delhi University administration, several faculty members from various departments and a large number of students and researchers, also showed their active participation in the event.
