Voltas Limited has informed the stock exchanges (National Stock Exchange of India Limited and Bombay Stock Exchange Limited) about the receipt of an order dated June 09, 2026, from the Office of State Tax Officer, Uttarakhand, imposing a penalty amounting to Rs 16.36 lakh on it under Section 129 of the Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 read with relevant provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
As per the company, it had received the said order on June 09, 2026, at 6.57. p.m, for expiry of E-Way Bill validity at the time of transporting the goods in question.
According to the disclosure, the company is not satisfied with the order and is planning to challenge the same by filing an appeal before the relevant appellate authority. The company has clarified that the present penal action does not impact its financials, operations or other activities.
Voltas Limited has disclosed the aforementioned information vide an Intimation dated June 10, 2026, under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (‘SEBI Listing Regulations’).
