Duty of Assistant Professor (Odia) for JNU Recruitment 2022

The duty of the Assistant Professor will be teaching and research programme in Odia Language, Literature and Cultural Traditions and Social Institutions & work assigned by the Chair Professor from time-to-time.

Specialization and Desirable Qualification for JNU Recruitment 2022

Specialization in Ancient & Medieval Odia Literature/ Comparative Literature in Odia.
Desirable:
a) Expertise in Odia Language, Literature & Cultural Studies (with Ph. D. in the relevant area);
b) Regular teaching/research experience of at least 05 years in Odia Language, Literature & Cultural Traditions and Social Institutions;
c) Good functional knowledge of English/Hindi;
d) Publications of books or articles in journals;
e) Experience of teaching/guiding research

Essential Qualifications for JNU Recruitment 2022

• A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time.
