ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2022: The Indian Agriculture Research Institute, or IARI, which is commonly known as the Pusa Institute, is the national institute of India for agricultural research, education, and extension. Established in the year 1905 at Pusa, Bihar, ICAR-IARI has always been a paragon of excellence in agricultural research and education in India. The institute has also provided leadership to the National Agriculture Research System for advancements in agricultural research, education, and extension.
The department recruits eligible professionals for various vacant posts every year. It issues notifications for the recruitment program on its official website at https://icar,org.in. Another notification has been posted on the website regarding the recruitment for the post of ‘Senior Research Fellow (SRF).’ The department is currently accepting online applications from eligible candidates for the job post. There is only one vacancy for the post, and the selected candidate will have to assist in the Development of diagnostic kits for quick detection of CTV, HLB, and Phytophthora rot diseases in citrus of North East Asia. Candidates who are interested to apply for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the ICAR-Indian Agriculture Research Institute must possess the essential qualifications and experience. The details regarding the eligibility criteria set for the post are as follows:
The qualifications required to apply for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the ICAR-IARI department include an MSC degree in Plant Pathology/Microbiology/Botany/Plant Protection/Biotechnology issued by a recognized university or institution. Also, candidates with a 3 years Bachelor’s degree must have a NET/GATE qualification or equivalent. In addition, two years of research experience as JRF/SRF/any other will be required to apply for the post. Knowledge of molecular techniques, microbial techniques, Plant Pathology, and Bioinformatics is also required to apply for the job post.
The age limit to apply for the job post vacant in the ICAR-IARI department is 35 years max. Age relaxation of 3 years will be an option for the candidates belonging to the OBC category, and 5 years for the SC/ST category.
The candidate selected for the post in the ICAR-IARI recruitment 2022 will be paid Rs.35000 +24% HRA per month.
The eligible candidates will need to report for the walk-in interview for the SRF post in ICAR-IARI 30 minutes before on 12th September 2022 at 10:00 A.M. At the time of the interview, candidates will need to bring two copies of their biodata in the prescribed application format, two passport-sized photographs, and one set of attested photocopies of their certificates/mark sheets/experience proof, etc. The venue for the walk-in interview will be Room 1, Divison of Plant Pathology, ICAR-IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi. anyone reading after the specified time will not be ordinarily entertained. Also, no TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for attending the interview.
