Balmer Lawrie is recruiting for various posts i.e Assistant Manager [IT Infrastructure), Deputy Manager [IT], Manager [Network and Cloud Admin) and Assistant Manager [IT] SBU / Function Corporate IT, the maximum salary is Rs.180000 per month as per conditions. The initial place of posting may be in Kolkata. However, candidates may be placed at any of the locations in India or abroad where the Company or its Joint Ventures has its operations and the decision on the matter shall be made at the time of joining at the sole discretion of the Company depending on the exigencies of work.

Post Name: Assistant Manager [IT] SBU / Function Corporate IT

Salary: Grade E1 ( Rs. 40000 – Rs. 140000)

Maximum Age Limit:  Should not be more than 27 years as on 30.09.2022

Minimum Qualification: Full Time Regular Graduate Degree in Engineering with Specialization in Computers / Electronics / Telecommunication / IT or MCA

Preferred Qualification – Should have minimum Experience (Years) 1 year as on 30.09.2022

Preferred Experience:

1. Strong knowledge of written technical documentation and oral communication skills documents and enjoy working in a team environment.

2. Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), iterative and/or Agile Scrum methodologies.

3. Knowledge of Angular, Test automation, Restful API and Web Services.

4. Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Service Integration Service) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Service).

5. Knowledge of writing codes using ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, C.NET, MVC, .NET CORE, Angular and strong OOP concepts, and other relevant web design coding languages.

6. Knowledge of writing Store procedure, View and SQL programming using SQL Server or/and MYSQL.

7. Knowledge of web services implementation.

8. Knowledge of networking.

9. Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc) will be added wattage.

10. Knowledge of both PHP and .NET technologies will add wattage.

11. Knowledge of Logistics Domain will be an added wattage.

Indicative Job Description:

The incumbent shall be responsible for:

1. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication skills, Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, Full life cycle application development.

2. Analyse and edit existing computer applications to improve functionality and process efficiency.

3. Web hosting and managing of web-based applications and websites

4. Working closely with end users and vendors

5. Very good knowledge in SQL and ability to write complex queries not compromising on performance. Knowledge in debugging SQL Error codes.

6. Documentation: Requirement gathering and analysis of requirement, Change request (CR) document preparation based on business requirement, Software requirement specification (SRS) preparation, Maintain and document software functionality.

7. Design related activity: Business requirement gathering and documentation, Design of application, Writing Code as per business requirement, Debugging of application in. Net (VB/C), Testing of application, Environment Setup, Writing Web Services if required using Dot Net technology (VB/ C) and Managing network components, Software analysis, code analysis and review, requirements analysis, software review.

8. Application Management/ Support: Incident Management, Change Management for Application support, Troubleshooting issues related to application, Identifying business needs, Conduct user training, User query resolution.

9. Vendor Management: Complete project delivery cycle, Technical document review, Prioritize needs of requirement, Develop content criteria, Negotiation with vendor for CR and development activity.

10. Testing activity: Setting of test environment, Test case preparation, Writing test scripts, Knowledge of testing methodology, Complete life cycle testing, Conducting User Acceptance Test, Test report preparation, Quality assurance Any other job assigned time to time.
