DRDO Recruitment 2022: Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications from retired officials from the Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies with significant experience in the operation of Central Government Ministries/Departments for engagement as Consultant on a short-term contractual basis in accordance with the Post Specific Terms of Reference (TOR).
Candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University and consultants should have practical knowledge and experience in their respective areas of services for which he/she is applying. The maximum age limit for all categories of retired Govt. employees for applying will be 63 years as of the closing date of application. The cutoff date for receipt of the application is 21 days from the date of publication of this advertisement

The Pay Scale of the Candidate will be Level 12 i.e., Rs. 80,000- Rs. 2,20,000 or Level 13 i.e., Rs. 90,000- Rs. 2,40,000.
Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognised university
Officers/ Officials who have retired from Central/ State Govts. PSUs. Autonomous Bodies, Universities, Govt. R&D Organization and possessing practical knowledge and experience in the field for which he/she is applying (as per TOR).
Persons possessing experience having worked with DRDO would be accorded preference during selection/ appointment.
He/ She should have effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a strong flair for an in-depth examination of his / her areas of work.
Work experience in Corps of Engineers / MES/ DRDO / CPWD / PWD / Similar Government Engineering Departments at pay scales 12 / 13 for a minimum of seven years. Knowledge of DSR / SSR / Similar Estimation Systems / Modules.
Knowledge of Defence Works Procedure / Similar Procedures followed in Works Departments of other Organisations.
Awareness about the latest engineering construction methodologies/practices being followed for new as well as maintenance works.
Knowledge of GFR / CVC Guidelines for tendering and procurement of goods & services.
Knowledge and Experience of E-tendering / GeM.
Experience in Estimation of the Capital & Revenue Works (including Estate Management).
Knowledge and experience in Documentation & Records required for Material Management & Civil Projects.
Knowledge and Experience in Works Supervision & Monitoring of Project Sites / Maintenance Works.
