DU UG Admissions 2023: First Year Class To Begin Today

Today, the University of Delhi (DU) started it’s Academic Session of 2022-23 for the undergraduate first year students . DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh stated that – “We are all set to hold classes for the first year students. The University is all set for the start of the new academic year and arrangements have been made to ensure the availability of all the facilities to the students. This year, we have conducted admissions through CUET and are implementing the National Education Policy. It is a different policy and the students will have more flexibility.”

The practical examination is scheduled to be held in February 2022, and the first semester exam will be conducted from 27th February to 15th March 2023 respectively. Similarly, the classes for 2nd semester will begin on March 20th, 2023. The practical examination for the 2nd semester has been scheduled to be conducted from 8th to 16th July 2023, and theory examination for 2nd semester will be conducted from 17th July to 28th July 2023 respectively.

Moreover, anti-ragging guidelines have already been issued by the university. In accordance to these guidelines, the University has requested strict enforcement of the rules and regulations to the colleges. And, to enforce the provisions of ordinances XV-B, XV-C and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act 2013. Two joint control rooms will be set up by the University. These control rooms can be contacted by the candidates at North Campus through – 27667221, and at South Campus through – 24119832.

The University of Delhi held this year’s undergraduate admissions on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET). In round one of the admission process, almost 60,000 candidates have secured their admission, meanwhile the second round of seat allocation process is going on. The counselling process will be conducted in three rounds and the allotment list has been scheduled to be released on 10th November 2022. After the counselling process s over, the mid-entry round and spot admission will be conducted by the University.
