Name of the Post for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:

The Indian Coast Guard is recruiting for the Sarang Lascar (General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in Pay Level-4 of the matrix) post.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:

Qualification:

Essential:

• Matriculation or equivalent pass.
• Certificate of competency as Sarang from a Government recognized Institute or equivalent.

Desirable:

• Two years experience as Sarang-in-charge of a Vessel of Twenty Horse Power.

Age Limit and Relaxations: 

• The minimum and maximum age limits for this recruitment are 18 to 30 years.
• Relaxable for SC category candidates and Government servants in accordance with the instructions/orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to time.

Mode of Selection for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:

As per the official notification, the mode of selection will be.

1. Scrutiny of Applications. All applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized subject to the eligibility criteria and necessary documents and the admit cards will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for document verification & appearance in the written examination.
2. Document verification. All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior to appearing in the written examination. Candidates will be required to bring their original documents and self-attested photocopies (02 sets) of the same as per the directives/instructions given in their admit cards.
3. Written Examination. All the Shortlisted candidates will undergo a written examination on the basis of the educational qualifications prescribed for the post. The written examination will be pen-paper based and one-hour duration. The Question Paper (bilingual) for the written examination will consist of 80 objective-type questions with one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking.
4. Merit list will be prepared strictly based on merit position as per marks obtained in written examination, as per DoPT orders in case of a tie. It will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website alongwith necessary instructions.

How to Apply for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:

Application forms should be filled either in English or Hindi as per the prescribed format given in Annexure-I. The application with duly affixed self-attested color photograph should be accompanied by photocopies of the documents listed below, duly self-attested with name and date. No original certificates are to be forwarded along with the application form:-

• Valid Photo ID proof.
• Matriculation or equivalent mark sheet and certificate.
• 12/UG/PG/Diploma mark sheet and certificate as per the essential eligibility conditions.
• Latest Category certificate (SC) for reserved category candidates.
• Experience certificate.
• NOC from the employer for presently serving in any Govt. organization.
• Two latest passport-size color photographs.
• Applicants are to enclose with the application a separate self-addressed blank envelope with Rs. 50/- postal stamp (pasted on the envelope).

Note:

The date of issue of all the above documents should be on or before the last date of receipt of the application i.e. 17 Jan 23. Candidates falling under the reserved category are to produce category certificates as per the prescribed format for appointment to the post under Govt. of India. Formats placed in Annexure-II.
