Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023: Ministry of Earth Sciences (MOES) is looking for candidates for filling up posts of Scientists at different levels (Scientist C, D, E, F & G). As mentioned in the Official notification of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023, the number of vacant seats avail for the Scientists post is 18. As given in the official notification of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit should not exceed 40 years (for Scientists C), and 50 years (for Scientists D, E, F & G).
As per the official notification of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023, the applicant should have at least 03 to 21 years of working experience in the relevant field. According to the official notification of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023, shortlisted applicants will be called for an Interview. In accordance with the official notification of the Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2023, the selected applicant will get a monthly salary ranging between Rs.67700 to Rs.218200. Interested and eligible applicants should duly fill out the application in the prescribed format and submit it within 42 days from the date of publication.

Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Physics Mathematics/Geophysics/Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography Seismology/Geology Geosciences or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Ocean Engineering, Earth Science, or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification
Doctorate degree in the relevant subject or area of specialization.
Scientist F
Candidate should have a Master’ Degree in Physics Mathematics/Geophysics/Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography Seismology/Geology/Geosciences or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Ocean Engineering or technology, Earth Science, or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification
Doctorate degree in the relevant subject or area of specialization
Scientist E
Candidate should have a Master’ Degree in Zoology/Marine Biology/Marine Sciences/Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification
Doctorate in the relevant subject or area of specialization.
Scientist D
Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Zoology/Marine Biology/Marine Sciences/Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification
Doctorate degree in the relevant subject or area of specialization.
Scientist C
Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Science or a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering Technology in the field of Biotechnology/Geoinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification
Desirable Qualification/Experience: Masters’ or Doctorate in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Geoinformatics, Computer Science or in relevant subject area of specialization,

Candidate should have at least Twenty one years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualification) in Research and Development in seismology/earthquake-related studies or Ocean Science & Technology or Weather & Climate Science supported by Scientific publications and work experience related to activities of the Ministry
Desirable Experience
Experience in policy-making, planning and project development, coordination, managing, and directing major programs projects in related areas of Earth Sciences.
Scientist F
Candidate should have at least 16 years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualification) in teaching (at graduate/post-graduate level) or research and development in seismology/earthquake-related studies or Ocean Science & Technology or Weather & Climate Science supported by Scientific publications and work experience related to activities of the Ministry
Desirable Experience
Experience in policy-making, planning, and project development, managing and directing major programs/projects in the area of Earth Sciences.
Scientist E
Candidate should have at least Eleven (11) years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualifications) in Research.
Desirable Experience
Experience in taxonomy/systematic /phylogenetic studies on marine eukaryotic organisms.
Scientist D
Candidate should have at least Seven (07) years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualification) in Research and Development in the fields of marine metagenomic, molecular genomic studies, marine macrofaunal taxonomy/mariculture/Marine protected areas.
Desirable Experience
Experience in taxonomy/Systematics/Phylogenetic studies on marine eukaryotic organisms.
Scientist C
Candidate should have at least Three (03) years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualification) in Research and Development in the fields of geospatial database or bioinformatics related to marine biodiversity.
Desirable Experience
Experience in the database of marine species distribution and creation of geospatial information system.
