Overview:

HSBC is hiring an experienced Senior Payroll Officer, GSC’s at their Hyderabad location. You will do booking of Monthly Payroll journals (Regular, Expat, F&F and Off-cycle) and Monthly provisions (Gratuity, Bonus, Leave encashment, Unclaimed provisions, Non-Pay reimbursement provisions and others).

The complete details of this job are as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Booking of Payment entries related to Salary Net pay, Statutory dues liabilities (TDS, PF, NPS, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF), Car Lease, Gratuity, Employee Loan, Salary advance, Reimbursement payments.

Booking of manual adjustment entries (FF, Tax refunds, Share match, DD cancellation, Negative salaries).

Preparation and submission of Payroll schedules on monthly basis on reconciliation tool (Employee Salary payable, Salary advance, Recoverable from and Payable to employees, Share Match payable, Payroll provision schedules (Bonus/Gratuity/Leave encashment/Unclaimed Car reimbursement provision, Insurance Premium).

Adherence to Statutory compliances and making sure all payments to respective departments/authorities made on time as per the due dates.

Preparation of balance sheet commentary pack on monthly basis for Internal & Business reviews for reconciliation and substantiation.

Closely interaction and co-ordination with the Upstream, Business/Finance and Audit teams.

Preparation of Statutory audit schedules to suffice the yearly audit requirements (Workings related to Provisions and Payments made during the year for Gratuity, Leave Encashment and Bonus, 12 months’ Statutory schedules – Accruals vs Payments recon.

Preparation of Expat statement and Directors remuneration statement.

Ascent (Sub-Ledger) vs GL reconciliation (Expense P&L recon of 12 months) for audit purpose.

Preparation of Statutory dues dashboard (Matching of Accruals vs Payments vs Challans).

Exposure on Stakeholder Management, Business visibility and Executive presence.
