Overview:

ABB is hiring an experienced Data Analyst at their Bangalore location. You will be working as Data Analyst and will be reporting to HR Operations Team Lead & will be a part of Bangalore, India. In this role you will be primarily responsible for Performing day-to-day HR transactions for one or several assigned service line(s) / country(ies), while also managing complex and escalated tasks. They ensure a high degree of customer experience by committing to a complete, accurate and timely completion of HR transactions. They also support the globally set standards for HR operations and ensure that the respective business processes in an HR operations front office / hub adhere to the local legal and regulatory requirements.

What will you be doing:

Partnering with senior stakeholders to help them conceptualize KPIs in areas of Talent Performance Culture and build statistical and analytics solutions from scratch, and have a strong bias towards creating clean, powerful, user-focused visualizations to deliver actionable insights and analysis. Technologies used would vary based on purpose from Python, Snowflake, Power BI, Advanced Excel, VBA, or any other new technology

Independently interact and manage Global ABB leadership to seek and provide meaningful and actionable insights in all interactions

Owning design and on time delivery of actionable insights by requirement gathering, data extraction to reporting/ presenting the findings in IC role or with the team as per project needs

Constantly on the lookout for ways to enhance value for your respective stakeholders/clients

Developing frameworks, plug n play solutions using diagnostic, predictive and machine learning techniques on Snowflake/ Python

Executing strategic projects to help ABB drive excellence in people, performance, and culture

Willingness to learn and implement the learning in an innovative manner

Team player with excellent collaboration skills required to work in a global virtual work environment – self-starter, self-motivated and able to lead small to id size projects.

Qualifications for this job:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research or related field

At least 2 – 4 years of experience in consulting, shared services or software development with strong data analysis techniques using technologies like Excel, VBA Scripting, Python, Snowflake

Experience in designing and maintaining dashboards/ reports providing diagnostic and forecasting view using VBA, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau

Excellent problem solving and analytical skill and can build story with fragmented data

Highly proficient in MS office with excellent communication and storytelling skills to present data findings and advise technical and non- technical teams

Understanding of SAP/ Workday HCM system is an added advantage
