XAT Exam Pattern 2025: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) is responsible for conducting the XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test). It is a national-level management entrance test organised for admission into its MBA and PGDM programs. The XLRI has released the XAT Exam Pattern 2025, the exam will be conducted for a total duration of 3 hours and 25 minutes where students will be given a total of 100 questions. One mark will be awarded to the candidate for each correct answer means the question paper will be worth a total of 100 marks. The XAT Exam Pattern 2025 includes details like section-wise weightage, subjects covered in the paper, and other important details. Analysing the XAT Exam Pattern 2025 will help students prepare an effective strategy for their exams and move forward towards their dreams.
The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2025 will include overall MCQ-type questions. The exam question paper will hold a total of three parts and students will be given limited time to solve them. The first part of the XAT exam 2025 question paper will comprise of Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (175 minutes) and the second part of the paper will be a 5-minute session of mock keyboard testing and the third part will consist of GK questions along with a short essay topic for 30 minutes. Candidates with disabilities (Pwd) will be awarded 20 minutes extra in every part of the exam. Each section of the paper will consist of 22-27 questions in MCQ format, instead of 4, 5 options will be given to the students to choose the correct answer for each question. Only the essay-type questions will be asked to answer in about 250 words.

There is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section. Scores of the General Knowledge section are not considered for calculating the XAT percentile. No marks are allotted to the essay. The essay will be evaluated at the time of PI shortlisting.
The XAT exam which is set to be conducted in the year 2025, will not only consist of MCQ questions on decision-making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation will also include one essay writing question. Below is the sectional break-up of the XAT 2025 question paper:

The XAT Exam consists of four sections, VA & LR, DM, QA & DI, and GK. However, in XAT Exam 2022, a new section was introduced known as Analytical Essay Writing (AEW). Still, the XAT question paper did not consist of many changes.
