Income Tax Raid at 35 Locations of City based Businessman House

More than 150 income tax officials raided 35 locations of a business group early Thursday morning. Raids were conducted at the business’s residences, corporate offices, and factories in Kanpur’s Civil Lines, Shakkarpatti, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. However, no official confirmation was provided by the Income Tax Department in this regard.

The raid in Kanpur began at 6 a.m. and was still ongoing at the time of filing this report. The company sells vegetable oil, food items, and packaged food.

According to department sources, the company was accused of widespread income tax evasion. In 20 vehicles, Income Tax officials arrived at the Rania factory. The security guards’ cellphones were confiscated.

Employees of the factory were barred from entering. Income Tax personnel took control of the factory’s office and began searching. Investigations were also conducted in other areas of the factory.

Simultaneous raids were carried out at 35 different locations of the business group, including Kanpur, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh.
