BIS invites applications from bright, young dynamic candidates for the post of Scientist-‘B’ in Agriculture Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Textile Engineering disciplines. There are 09 openings for the mentioned position.

Qualification for BIS Recruitment 2023:

The qualifications as per the discipline is mentioned below-

For Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Textile Engineering

• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with not less than 60% marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes].
• Candidate should have a valid GATE score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as of 03.11.2023.

For Agriculture Science

• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Master’s Degree with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes] in any of the following sub-disciplines:

1. Agronomy
2. Soil Sciences/ Soil Science & Agriculture Chemistry
3. Agriculture Entomology/ Entomology
4. Agricultural Chemicals/Chemistry

• Candidate should have a valid ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 examination Scorecard in any of the above sub-disciplines.

Age Limit for BIS Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of BIS Recruitment 2023, the appointed is for a period of 02 years.

Salary for BIS Recruitment 2023:

The chosen applicant for BIS Recruitment 2023 will receive a monthly remuneration in level 10. 

Selection Procedure for BIS Recruitment 2023:

The selection of candidate for BIS Recruitment 2023 is based on of GATE 2021 or GATE 2022 or GATE 2023 Score and based on ICAR AICE-JRF/ SRF (Ph.D) -2023 examination score and Interview.

Personal Interview- There will not be more applicants invited for interviews than there are openings in the relevant discipline and category, which is not to exceed 4 times that number. Only once the Document Verification procedure has been successfully completed will the candidates be permitted to participate in the Personal Interview process.

Final merit list- Candidates will be chosen based on merit, which will be determined by the total marks acquired after giving the GATE Score/ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 Marks 85% weight each, and the marks from the interview 15% weight each.
