Overview:

Barclays is hiring an experienced Assistant VP – Research at their Mumbai, location. This role is part of a team focused on the delivery of corporate and analyst access (incl. roadshows, trips, ad hoc meetings) in a fast paced, high volume environment. Projects will vary in terms of the size and scope of the requirements, so the analyst will need to adapt accordingly to the requirements and help originate and manage from end to end. The analyst will be a member of an experienced and highly proactive team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to successfully manage the seamless execution/completion of marketing projects.
• Presentations – being able to understand what needs to be conveyed with the document including all data sets and being able to help guide on the best way to present it. More collaborative than reactive
• Budget resolution, invoice processing & post-event closedown in a timely and proficient manner. Review and report event activity with a structured approach.
• Help to improve processes and provide a better quality service to internal & external clients.
• Work with Analytics teams to create avenues for automation within reporting for executed events
• Inspire change by leveraging new and existing technology platforms /processes to improve the access experience for investors, corporates, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to adjust work hours for regular overlap with the NY team (till noon EST)

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree from premier institutes
• Advanced knowledge of excel, PowerPoint, presbuilder and Word
• Excellent project management and drive to complete tasks to the highest standard. A flexible approach and being able to re-prioritise tasks according to their urgency is key.
• Ability to remain calm and perform with accuracy under pressure. Needs strong attention to detail and care factor is a must.

Skills:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication needed
• Self-motivated, driven and organised with a high aptitude for learning new processes
• Knowledge of various databases like Factset, Bloomberg, etc.
• A good understanding of the securities regulations in the US
