GST e-Invoice Portal Launches Enhanced System with Quick Action and e-Invoice Features
The Government of India, in collaboration with States and Union Territories, has introduced an updated Goods and Services Tax (GST) system, including the new e-Invoice System.
The portal offers a number of useful tools that allow users to do quick operations such as IRN searches, enablement status verification, grievance resolution, access to the IRP Portal, and the mobile app.
Users can log in to the site to do a variety of tasks, including enabling e-invoice capabilities, downloading e-Invoice JSONs, and submitting exemption declarations.
The portal also includes news, updates, and video links. The “About” section provides users with thorough information on the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP), including an overview, background, and details.
For resources related to e-invoices, the portal offers notifications, circulars, master codes, manuals, schema/ validations (Version 1.1), and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Additionally, various services are available, such as checking the e-invoice enablement status of taxpayers, enabling e-Invoice functionality, searching for Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN) codes, viewing/updating the Annual Aggregate Turnover (AATO), and searching for IRNs.
The mobile app provides convenient access to these features.
According to the e-invoice portal, the overall number of IRNs generated in the current financial year is 1969647k, whereas the total number of IRNs generated on February 2, 2024, is 9193k.
