Dell Technologies is hiring an experienced Software Principal Engineer at their Bangalore location. As a Software Principal Engineer, you’ll be part of DevOps engineers working with cutting-edge tools and technologies to help drive human progress.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Engage with the product line to understand the needs and align with the TechOps offering
• Provide guidance and coaching to development teams and individuals on implementing DevOps best practices, addressing challenges, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Lead the design and architecture of high-quality automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
• Collaborate with team members in design, code reviews, development tools and processes
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of DevOps initiatives and implement reporting mechanisms to track progress.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in build automation and release engineering, CI/CD and with tools such as: Github, Jenkins pipeline, JFrog Artifactory, Kubernetes, Kafka, Kibana, Elastic, Docker, Maven, Gradle, Make, Code Signing, OpenSource Vulnerabilities. Extensive knowledge on Devops coaching or coaching experience.
• Strong programming and scripting skills utilizing languages such as Python and Shell with good knowledge on REST API
• Experience with microservices architectures utilizing Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD tools such as Github, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of Modern IT principles and practices, CI/CD, DevOps

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience of 8 to 13 years
• Knowledge of cloud environments private and public (AWS and Azure). Experience in agile methodologies and software development lifecycles in a fast-paced environment
