UPSC CSE 2023 Topper: Animesh Pradhan Tops UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023, Check his Inspirational Story
UPSC CSE 2023 Topper: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) administered its Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2023, and it is one of the most sought-after exams in the country. The exam has become more competitive over the years, and students from a variety of fields work hard to prepare for and pass the UPSC Civil Services examination.
CSE is conducted once a year and every year, lakhs of applicants apply for UPSC examination, but only a tiny percentage of candidates are selected. The CSE Exam consist of 3 stages; Preliminary examination, Main examination and Interview/Personality Test.
We would like to congratulate the top three rank holders, Aditya Srivastava, Animesh Pradhan, and Donuru Ananya Reddy, on their accomplishments.
Animesh Pradhan: All-India Rank 2
Animesh Pradhan, earned an Airline 2 ranking in the Union Public Service Commission’s final Civil Services 2023 results, which were made public on April 16, 2023 (UPSC). After earning his B.Tech in computer science from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Animesh decided to take sociology as an elective.
Animesh hails from Bhalugadia hamlet in the Talcher area of Angul district and completed his education at DAV Public School, MCL, Kalinga region. Additionally, he received a 98.8% on his intermediate examinations. The 24-year-old is currently employed with the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) refinery division in New Delhi. At the moment, the 24-year-old works in New Delhi for the refineries branch of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Journalists, media advocacy, debate in parliament, and freestyle dancing are some of his interests.
During the 2016–17 academic year, he also served as head boy. Yet, Pradhan’s achievement is particularly noteworthy because his mother Aruna Patra passed away from cancer just in January 2024, who was previously employed at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, passed away as well. As a class XI student, he had also lost his father, the principal of a Talcher college. Animesh Pradhan persevered in pursuing his objectives and succeeded in doing so to honor his parents, even though he lost both of them in a short period of time.
Animesh Pradhan Examination Preparation
IAS Topper Animesh Pradhan began preparing for the CSE in 2022 and made his first attempt in 2023. He studied for 6–7 hours per day.
Animesh Pradhan’s motivation is to work for people at the grassroots level and improve their lives. His counsel to aspirants is to think about “why did they start” anytime they feel down. He encourages hopefuls to stay strong and have an open support system.
