The Institute of Companies Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released the Companies Act 2013 Ready Reckoner updated till Nov 14, 2024.
The Companies Act 2013 is an Act or Law passed by the Parliament of India that governs how companies are formed, dissolved, and managed. It's the primary source of Indian company law and largely replaced the Companies Act of 1956. It received presidential assent on 29th August 2013 and largely superseded the Companies Act 1956. The Companies Act 2013 was passed by Parliament in December 2012 and came into force in stages. Section 1 of the act came into force on August 30, 2013, and the act was fully effective on April 1, 2014.
Time to time, several updates have been made to the Companies Act 2013's rules and these updates were enacted via issuing notifications and circulars.
ICSI recently issued the updated Companies Act 2013—Ready Reckoner for tax professionals, companies and business individuals. This Ready Reckoner includes the amendments made in rules, Circulars and notifications issued to notify of these amendments.
