NEET-PG 2024 Likely to be Organised in Mid-August: Sources

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) 2024 is likely to be organised in mid-August, sources said on Tuesday. The revised date for the NEET-PG 2024 examination is expected to be announced this week only. A meeting was organised in the Union home ministry on Monday, in which various officers from various departments like the health ministry, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), technical partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Cyber Cell officials discussed the various aspects of NEET-PG 2024, the exam will be organised in online mode. The meeting was organised to check the “robustness” of the exam conducting system. which will soon be organised in the upcoming days. “It was learnt that the TCS top brass briefed the meeting about the various aspects of the exam procedure.”

Sources said, “Besides the NEET-PG, the meeting was held to evaluate the robustness of the system for the conduct of the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination, which is scheduled for July 6“. On June 22, 2024, the Union Health Ministry postponed the date for the NEET-PG entrance examination 2024 due to the allegations on the integrity of certain competitive exams the authority scheduled the examination for June 23, 2024, as the “precautionary measure”. The Heath Minister has said that it will organise a thorough assessment of the NEET-PG robustness processes, conducted by the NBEMS along with its technical partner TCS for medical students.
