NIA is looking for eligible candidates for the posts of Technical Forensic Psychologist, Finger Print Expert, Explosive Exert, Cyber Forensic Examiner and Crime Scene Assistant. There are 30 vacant seats available for the aforementioned positions, as per the official notification for NIA Recruitment 2024.

Age Limit for NIA Recruitment 2024:

• The applicants should not be more than the age of 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

Salary for NIA Recruitment 2024:

Based on the official notification of the NIA Recruitment 2024, the salary is mentioned below:

For All Posts except Crime Scene Assistant-

• The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary in Matrix Level-10 (Rs 56100-177500)

For Crime Scene Assistant-

• The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary in Level – 7 (Rs. 44900 -142400)

Tenure for NIA Recruitment 2024:

According to the official notification of the NIA Recruitment 2024, the period of deputation including deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years.

Posting Location for NIA Recruitment 2024:

As indicated in the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2024, the selected applicants will be posted in Guwahati, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Kochi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Chennai, Ranchi, Imphal, Bengaluru, Patna, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Bhubaneshwar, Delhi, Kochi, Jammu and Raipur.

Eligibility Criteria for NIA Recruitment 2024:

According to the official notification for NIA Recruitment 2024, the eligibility criteria are listed below:

For Technical Forensic Psychologist-

• Officers under the Central Government/ State Government or Universities / recognised Research Institutions / Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings / Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisation:
• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/ department, or
• The candidate should have 02 years’ service in the grade on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-2, Pay Scale of Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/ or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department. OR
• The candidate should have 03 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto оп regular basis in the posts in the Pay Band- 2, Pay Scale of Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade pay Rs. 4600/ or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department, and

For Explosive Exert-

• Officers under the Central Government / State Government / Universities/ recognised Research Institutions / Union Territories / Public Sector Undertakings / Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisation:
• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department, or

Required Qualification and Experience for NIA Recruitment 2024:

As informed by the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2024, the required educational qualifications and experience are given below:

For Technical Forensic Psychologist-

• The candidate should have Master’ degree in Criminology or Clinical Psychology regular course from a recognised University.
• The candidate should have 03 years’ experience in applied Psychology ог Criminology / Crime Investigation.

Desirable –

• The candidate should have Doctorate Degree in Psychology from recognized University.
• The candidate should have 03 years’ experience in practicing clinical psychology.
• The candidate should have M. Phil in clinical Psychology; or PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology; or M. Phil in Forensic Psychology.

For Explosive Exert-

• The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at B. Sc. Level from a recognised university.
• The candidate should have Five years’ experience in the examination of explosives and firearms.

Desirable–

• The candidate should have Doctorate Degree in Chemistry.
