For Tamil-

• The candidate should have a Post-Graduate degree in the relevant disciplines mentioned above, with a minimum of fifty-five per cent marks or its equivalent grade.
• The candidate should have a B.Ed. degree with a minimum of fifty-five per cent marks or equivalent grade.
• The candidate should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Education or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.

Desirable-

• The candidate should have an M.Ed. or M.Ed. with Specialization
• The candidate should have Ph. D in Education.

For Hindi-

• The candidate should have a Post-Graduate degree in the relevant disciplines mentioned above, with a minimum fifty-five percent marks or its equivalent grade.
• The candidate should have a B.Ed. degree with a minimum of fifty-five per cent marks or equivalent grade.
• The candidate should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Education or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.

Desirable–

• The candidate should have an M.Ed. or M.Ed. with a Specialization
• The candidate should have a Ph. D in Education.

For Art Education-

• The candidate should have a postgraduate degree in Performing or Visual Arts with a minimum of fifty-five per cent marks or its equivalent grade.
