GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 syllabus for the upcoming examination at the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates can download GATE 2025 all 30 subjects syllabus. Each paper will hold a weightage of 100 marks. The Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) syllabus was released by the IISc Bangalore this year 2024.

Including all the other papers, candidates will also need to attend the General Aptitude paper. The has awarded 85% of weightage to the core subjects and the remaining 15% weightage to the General Aptitude (GA) paper. In which the General Aptitude (GA) paper includes topics such as verbal, quantitative, analytical, and spatial aptitude.

From this year, 2024, a new two-paper combination has been introduced under the GATE examination. This means that students who are prepared for one paper can attempt other eligible papers as well. For instance, students who are preparing for the Agricultural Engineering (AG) paper can appear in the Civil Engineering (CE) syllabus as well.

With the exception of AR, GE, GG, XE, and XH, the General Aptitude paper weighs 15% of the 100-mark question paper, while the core subject portion comprises 85%. The sectional weighting for each of the 30 chapters is listed below:

The syllabus for the GATE 2025 General Aptitude (GA) which carries 15% weightage out of 100 is listed below in tabular form:
