Students Urge to Postpone INI CET 2025 Due to India-Pakistan Tensions

Due to the India-Pakistan tensions, many students requested to reschedule the INI CET 2025 exam, saying that travel was getting affected. These requests came just one day before the exam’s scheduled date. However, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) decided not to postpone it. The exam is being conducted on May 17 for admission into 872 medical courses like Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh).

The Doctors Welfare Federation (DWF) wrote to Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, contending that due to the tension between both countries, it is difficult for the affected candidates to reach to their exam centres.

DWF highlighted that the India-Pakistan conflict has negatively affected the major travel routes. Several airports are closed, many trains have been cancelled or rerouted, and many flights are either delayed or cancelled. These unexpected events are creating many difficulties, especially for students from the border areas, who may find it very hard to reach their exam centres safely and on time. Due to these problems, the DWF requested the minister to reschedule AIIMS INI CET 2025 to ensure that all students get a fair and equal chance to give the exam.

Many users are expressing their concern and disappointment on social media, saying that it was disappointing that AIIMS New Delhi did not even reply to the many requests to delay the exam. It is unfair for students from border areas and whose family members are in the armed forces.
