New Functionalities on GST Portal

1.) Tax Payer can Furnish details of security/ surety in ASMT-05

Every registered person can request for payment of tax on a provisional basis in accordance with the provisions of section 60(1) of CGST Act.

The applicant should execute a bond in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 60 in FORM GST ASMT-05 along with a security in the form of a bank guarantee for an amount as determined under sub-rule (3) (i.e. amount determined in the order of provisional assessment).

Now the Taxpayer has option to Furnish details of security/ surety in ASMT-05 on GST Portal.

2.) Application for compounding in Form CPD-01 can now be made by taxpayers.

Form GST CPD-01 is Application for Compounding of Offence. Any Taxpayer can file this application in the following two cases:

Prosecution is instituted: This means that an Order for initiation of prosecution has been issued against the Taxpayer. He/she would have received a Prosecution Notice, issued by a Tax Official, regarding the same.

Prosecution is contemplated: This means that the taxpayer is voluntarily filing this application for Compounding of Offence. In this case, he/she might have received an Order, issued by a Tax Official.

Taxpayer can now Submit application for compounding in Form CPD-01. Similarly Tax Officers can now Allow or reject application for compounding of offence in Form CPD-02

3.) Tax Payer can now Upload statements/ supporting documents with RFD-01

RFD-01 is an application for online processing of refund under GST. It is to to be e-filed on the GST portal to claim the refund of: taxes, cess and interest paid in case of zero-rated supplies. balance of excess cash paid into the electronic cash ledger.

Tax Payer can now Upload statements/ supporting documents along with form RFD-01onGSTPortal.

4.) File application for rectification of order passed by appellate authority

Tax payers and Tax Officers can now file application for rectification of Orders passed by Appellate Authority on GST Portal. [Section 161 of CGST Act]
