On 21.03.2022 based on suspicion, Amritsar Customs intercepted a passenger for smuggling gold worth Rs. 28.8 lakhs.
The passenger was arriving by Indigo 6E 48 from Sharjah.
Custom officials seized 3 capsules of gold paste of 659 grams and gold bar of 544.5 grams worth Rs. 28.8 lakhs.
Accused accepted body concealment of gold.
Officials arrested the accused and further investigation is under process.
