The Income Tax Department seized a truck involved in GST evasion during a targeted raid held in Srirampur. The operation was performed by a special team. The team seized a truck loaded with tobacco (Gutkha) worth more than 1 crore.
As per the information gathered, the truck was on the way from Delhi to Guwahati when it was seized. The registration number written on the truck was NL01 N6619, and it was reportedly carrying expensive goods without the correct GST papers.
As per the investigation done, the name of the driver was identified as Yasir Khan, now under the custody.
