Overview:

GSK is hiring an experienced Associate Specialist- Data Management Tier 1 at their Bangalore location. The Associate Specialist-Tier 1 PS Operation (India) is a member of the People Services & Support India (Rx and GCC) and plays a key role in the ensuring payroll compliance, data quality, enablement of downstream applications and processes to perform as expected and maintaining a compliant People Services organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • This position requires an action oriented and hands-on professional, who will provide essential support in the payroll and Workday production support of PS Service delivery obligations.
  • This position requires an action oriented professional, who will provide essential support in the processing of payroll via manual data entry and automated bulk updates for a range of level 1 employee transactions.
  • This position will work closely with the finance team, other data management members and HR business partners.
  • The Data Management analyst will ensure high quality customer service delivery, meeting all KPI’s and other Metrics as determined by GSK globally, and where applicable, locally apart from payroll activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing of payroll input of new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, increment, leaves payments and encashments and validate payroll input with workday data.
  • Validation of payroll output Vs input interface; ensure quality checks are performed.
  • Responsible for end-to-end completion on Workday and other required systems.
  • Job/Pay/Grade Changes in Workday and letters preparation.
  • FnF Approvals/ Recovery
  • One Time Payments and deductions
  • Recurrent payment and deductions
  • Salary Advance processing and recovery
  • New hire compliance document validation
  • Compensation bulk Upload.
  • Accountable for payroll and Workday Data Accuracy. Work closely with other data management team to have corrections in place.
  • Perform payroll and benefit orientation of new joiners.
  • Support employees with tax, reimbursement and flexi benefit queries on payroll portal.
  • Manage employee tax benefits like NPS account and meal cards by liaising with vendors.
  • Understand and deliver services against Global Value Stream Metrics and standards.
  • Manage complex reporting requests pertaining to payroll, compliance and other employee data requests from Stakeholders.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on Payroll, HR transactions, processes and other services to ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times, peer and stakeholder knowledge is current and fit for purpose and is able to identify and take corrective action when information appears out of alignment or incorrect
  • Deliver against all compliance imperatives including support for local and global Data Audits, local legislative needs, protecting Data Privacy at all time and adhering to confidentiality requirements to promote zero breach of compliance policies.
  • Support employees with queries coming through tickets and chats.
  • Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required
  • Experience working in a Payroll, Data management, ticketing, vendor liaising
  • Experience 3 to 5 Years.
  • Excellent and high level of expertise in standard MS Office software (excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Excellent written (language/grammar) and verbal (listening/speaking) communication skills
  • Ability to work either independently or as part of a team, in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent data gathering and analytical skills with critical attention to detail
  • Experience of Workday or other HRIS systems, payroll portals and an understanding of the downstream impact of other transactions.
  • Familiar with case management and the use of the intranet for information searching
