Ather is hiring an experienced Program Manager – Processes & Systems at their Bangalore location. You’ll be aligned with: Program Lead – Process & Systems and will be a member of: Program Management Team. You will establish clear milestones and track progress on a regular basis to help teams deliver and realize goals.
The complete details of this job are as follows:
Define, understand and publish the true north of any project and program undertaken. Focus on the details (technical, operational and team dynamics) to assess general health of the program
Facilitates the team’s progress toward true north goals – continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, execution, and cost.
Leads team efforts in relentless improvement across execution – Helps the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective. Relentlessly focus on execution methods, teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.
Supports the Program Lead and helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
Understand product development lifecycle(s) – have strong understanding of the new product development life cycle across specific modules, vehicles and software systems
Comfortable in multi tasking and context shifting – Certain projects will require the program manager to go beyond what is defined as role and responsibility. Understand the required effort, take lead on it, and help set up processes once the firefighting is done
Ability to communicate (written and verbal)with clarity – Communicate correct status of information in a crisp and clear manner. Communicate relevant status by filtering to the granular details or the big picture, to internal and external teams & business stakeholders
Continuous learning – Evolve a continuous understanding of the relevant systems and factor in their limitations, context, and perspective while driving teams to deliver.
Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree
2 to 5 years of experience overall
Minimum of 1 year of progressive continuous improvement, analytical, project management or business analysis experience.
Minimum of 2 years of increased responsibility leading process improvement/program management practices.
Aptitude and knack for tools and automation
Keen for driving operational efficiencies
Knowledge in developing and implementing ERP and PLM systems
Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with ability to apply project management skills to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, quantify and utilize information to make recommendations that support business choices
Knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others
Think strategically, to proactively understand customer needs, and provide solutions to overcome obstacles
Provide feedback on process improvement procedures and better support enterprise transformation efforts.
Should have good understanding of developing processes and establishing various systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills interacting with various levels of the organization.
Should possess good organizing skills & ability to multitask in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements
Ability to work autonomously in making decisions without too much oversight
Should be a self-starter & a go-getter with high levels of ownership on closing things
Proactive, responsive and keen on process enhancement. Proven ability to optimize execution and increase predictability of the system.
