Attention Taxpayers! Not Filing ITR Can Result in Higher TDS Next Year Not filing Income Tax Return can result in higher TDS next year. The last date to file ITR for AY 2021-22 is 31st March, 2022. Let’s not wait for the last day! If you fail to file ITR for AY 2021-2022, TDS Rate Applicable on you, may increase. Late fee of Rs. 1000 or Rs. 5000 will be applicable as per section 234F  of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
