Awfis Space Solutions Limited has informed the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Limited through a disclosure dated June 02, 2026, about the receipt of a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the Commercial Tax Officer, Nungabakkam, Central-III, Chennai Central, Tamil Nadu.
The notice dated May 23, 2026 was issued in Form DRC-01 and is with respect to the alleged discrepancies identified in the GST return statements filed by the company for the financial year 2022-23 according to the disclosure made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The notice contains a demand of approximately Rs. 7.10 crore, together with applicable interest and penalty.
The company stated that upon receipt of the notice, it immediately initiated a review of its contents and identified certain apparent discrepancies. To ascertain the correct quantum of demand and ensure accurate disclosure to investors, Awfis Space Solutions has engaged its consultant and is presently seeking clarification from the concerned GST authority. The company noted that clarification from the department is still awaited.
The company has stated that it is examining the notice and will take appropriate legal steps and will be filing a detailed response within the prescribed statutory timeline. According to the preliminary assessment made by the company, it has also clarified that it does not foresee any material impact on its financial position, business operations, or other activities arising from the said notice.
