Ban the sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on E-commerce platforms in India: CAIT
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has written a letter to the Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi requesting them to ban the sales of Pakistani flags and merchandise on platforms of e-commerce. The subject of the letter was, "Immediate action needed: Sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on E-commerce platforms amidst Operation Sindoor".
A post has also been shared on the formerely Twitter (platform 'X'), saying, "The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) writes a letter to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi urging them to ban the sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on E-commerce platforms."
With the help of a letter, CAIT shared serious concerns about an issue that deeply affects our national pride and security. It has been found that Pakistani flags, mugs with their logo, and T-shirts are being sold on big online shopping sites like Amazon and Flipkart. This is happening while our brave soldiers are risking their lives in Operation Sindoor, an important mission against Pakistan. Selling products that represent a country hostile to us at such a time is not only disrespectful but completely unacceptable. It shows a lack of respect for our soldiers, our nation’s pride, and the feelings of all patriotic Indians. This isn’t just a small mistake; it’s a serious issue that can harm national unity and possibly create problems for our internal peace and security. In the letter, CAIT has requested the following immediate actions:The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) writes a letter to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi urging them to ban the sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on E-commerce platforms. pic.twitter.com/5gMvWAysTV

- Stop the sale of Pakistani flags, logos, and related items on all online shopping websites in India immediately.
- Find out how these items were allowed to be sold in the first place.
- Make sure strict rules are put in place so this doesn’t happen again, and take action against platforms that break these rules.
- Give clear instructions to all e-commerce platforms to ban the sale of any items that could harm national security or hurt public feelings.
