Bank to Be Closed For 4 Days this week: Check Entire Schedule
If you have any critical work linked to the bank, make sure to plan it around the holidays this week. Banks in several cities will be closed for four days due to various holidays. Bank holidays vary by state, although there are several days when banks are closed throughout India.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) declared bank holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts.
This week's bank holidays are listed below.
Banks will also be closed from April 14 to April 16 to observe Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi, Vaisakhi, Tamil New Year's Day, Cheiraoba, Biju Festival, Good Friday, Bengali New Year's Day (Nababarsha), Himachal Day, and Vishu. Due to Bohag Bihu, April 16, which is also the third Saturday of the month, will be a bank holiday.
April 14 (Thursday):
Banks will be closed in all states save Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/Mahavir Jayanti/Baisakhi/Vaisakhi/Tamil New Year's Day/Cheiraoba/Biju Festival/Bohag Bihu.April 15 (Friday):
Banks will be closed, with the exception of Rajasthan, Jammu, and Srinagar, due to Good Friday/Bengali New Year's Day (Nababarsha)/Himachal Day/Vishu/Bohag Bihu.April 16 (Saturday):
Bank Holiday on April 16 Due to Bohag Bihu, banks in Assam will be closed on April 16 (Saturday).April 17 (Sunday):
April 17 is a bank holiday, and all banks are closed on Sundays.
