BARC Recruitment 2024: Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), is inviting applications from qualified and hard-working candidates for the post of Scientific Officers (Group-A post of the Government of India) through its academic programs in various disciplines. As per the official notification for BARC Recruitment 2024, the minimum and maximum ages of the candidates are 18 and 26 years old, respectively, as on 01-08-2024.
As mentioned in the official notification for BARC Recruitment 2024, selected candidates will get a monthly payment of up to Rs. 56100. The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 500 for General/OBC, and there is no need to pay an amount for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and internal candidates. The selection of the candidates will be based on an interview. Willing and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of BARC on or before the last date.
According to the official notification for BARC Recruitment 2024, it is looking for eligible candidates for the position of Scientific Officers (Group-A post of the Government of India) through its academic programmes in various disciplines.
In order to apply for BARC Recruitment 2024, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for the post:
For Engineering discipline:
The candidate should have a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of a GATE score must have a GATE-2022, GATE-2023, or GATE-2024 score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline. Those having qualifying degrees in branches like Aerospace Engg., Automobile Engg., Automotive Engg., Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Production Engg., Manufacturing Engineering, Mining Machinery Engg., Industrial Metallurgy Engg., Reliability Engg., Ceramics Engg., Architecture Engg., Geology Engg., Mining Engg., Marine Engg., Bio-Medical Electronics/ Instruments Engg., Communication Engg., Information Technology, Mechatronics, Dyes & Dye Intermediates, Electrochemical Engg., Energy Systems, Oils & Fats, Paints & Varnishes Engg., Petrochemicals Engg., Plastics, Paper Engg., Sugar Technology, Textiles Engg., Control Engineering, Power Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Information science/ Technology, Biomedical Electronics Engg., Biomedical Instrumentation Engg., Chemical Science & Technology, Chemical Technology, Energy Engg., Environmental Science Engineering, Structural Engineering, Biotechnology, and Biochemical Engg., ME in CAD, CAM, M. Sc. in Computer Sc., Master of Computer Applications, B. Sc. in Computer Sc., BS in Chemical Engineering, BSMS in Electrical & Computer Engg. BSMS programs in electronics, etc. are not eligible.
For Radiological Safety & Environmental Science (RSES):
RSES is an additional training scheme option available to the candidate selected through the Physics and Chemistry OCES disciplines (OCES screening discipline codes 41 and 42) and hence there will not be a separate screening test or selection interview for RSES.

Age Limit for BARC Recruitment 2024:
Referring to the official notification of BARC Recruitment 2024, the age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 26 years old as on 01-08-2024.
In accordance with the official notification of BARC Recruitment 2024, the selected candidates will get a monthly salary at Level 10 (Rs. 56100 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.)
Application Fee for BARC Recruitment 2024:
As indicated in the official notification of BARC Recruitment 2024, candidates who belong to the UR/OBC male categories have to pay the application fee of Rs. 500. Women candidates, candidates belonging to SC/ST, Dependents of Defense Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), and physically challenged candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
As stated in the official notification for BARC Recruitment 2024, the selection of the candidates will be determined on the basis of screening to shortlist candidates, followed by a selection interview with the shortlisted candidates.
Screening for selection interviews is done through two alternative channels:
Online Screening Examination: It will be conducted in eight engineering OCES disciplines (codes 21–28) and in four science OCES disciplines (codes 41–43 and 45) in more than forty cities spread across India. The online screening exam for OCES/DGFS-2024 will be held in March 2024. The travel allowance is not paid for appearing in it.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Score: Candidates will be screened in for a selection interview on the basis of a GATE-2022, GATE-2023, or GATE-2024 score.
