BARC Recruitment 2024: Check Post, Qualification, Salary and How to Apply
BARC Recruitment 2024: Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is currently accepting online applications from qualified and deserving applicants for the job role of Scientific Officer (a Group-A post of the Government of India). A monthly salary in level 10 i.e Rs. 56100 will be to the selected candidate for BARC Recruitment 2024. Candidates willing to apply for BARC Recruitment 2024 should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 31 years.
The BARC Recruitment 2024 official notification states that the DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates (DGFS) -2024 is for a term of 02 years, while the Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) -2024 is made for a time of 01 year. Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview. The date, time and venue regarding the selection process will be intimated later to the shortlisted applicants. Candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs. 500. The women, SC/ST, Dependents of Defense Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA) and Physically challenged candidates are not required to pay an application fee. Applicants who meet the requirements can submit an online application by using BARC’s official website before the deadline.
For Engineering disciplines (OCES Exam codes 21-28)-
Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech degree with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks. in one of the engineering qualifying degrees mentioned. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of a GATE score must have a GATE-2022, GATE-2023 or GATE- 2024 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
For Physics discipline (OCES Exam code 41)-
Candidates must have a M.Sc. /Integrated M. Sc. degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics/ Solid State Physics/ Condensed Matter Physics/ Atomic and Molecular physics/ Particle and High Energy Physics// Nano Sc. and Technology/ Astronomy/ Engineering physics with Physics and Mathematics at B.Sc. or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of 5-year integrated M.Sc, or B.E. /B.Tech. in Engineering Physics with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. M.Sc. candidates (other than those applying with a 5-year integrated M.Sc. degree) must additionally have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc.. Physics postgraduate applicants opting to be considered on the basis of a GATE Score should have a GATE-2022, GATE-2023 or GATE-2024 Score in ‘Physics’. Applicants having B.E./B.Tech. (Engineering Physics) as a qualifying degree can apply on the basis of a GATE-2022, GATE-2023 or GATE-2024 Score either in ‘Physics’ or in ‘Engineering Sciences’.
For Chemistry discipline (OCES Exam code 42)-
Candidates must have a M.Sc. /Integrated M. Sc. degree in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry with Physics up to B.Sc. or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of 5-year integrated M.Sc. and Mathematics at Std. XII or at B.Sc. or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of 5-year integrated M.Sc. with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in M.Sc. All candidates (other than those applying with a 5-year integrated M.Sc. degree) must additionally have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of a GATE Score should have a GATE-2022, GATE-2023 or GATE-2024 Score in ‘Chemistry’.

For Persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu and Kashmir State from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 (Dom Kashmir) –31 years
