Educational Qualification Required for BEL Recruitment 2023:

Trainee Engineer – I : B.E/B.Tech (4 year course) Engineering degree or equivalent in relevant discipline from recognized University/ Institution/ College with 55% & above for GEN/ EWS/ OBC candidates & Pass Class for SC/ ST/ PwBD Candidates.

Project Engineer – I : B.E /B.Tech (4 year course) Engineering degree in relevant discipline from recognized University/ Institution/ College with 55% & above for GEN/ EWS/ OBC candidates & Below 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD Candidates.

Note to Qualification:

i.) For all the posts indicated, the candidates should have qualified from AICTE/ UGC approved college/ Institute or recognized University.

ii.) Candidates applying for the above indicated posts should possess 55% and above for General/EWS/OBC and Pass class for SC/ ST/ PwBD.

iii.) Candidates have to compulsorily attach the Provisional/ Final Degree Certificate as proof of completion of Degree and indication of Class and percentage of marks.

Experience Required for BEL Recruitment 2023:

Trainee Engineer – I : Minimum 01 years / C++, Java, Algorithm Development, SW Documentation.

Project Engineer – I : Minimum 02 years / C++, Java, SW Testing, SW Documentation Python etc

Age Limit for BEL Recruitment 2023:

Trainee Engineer – I: The Upper age limit should be not more than 28 years for General & EWS candidates as on 01.01.2023.

Project Engineer – I: The Upper age limit should be not more than 32 years for General & EWS candidates as on 01.01.2023.

Notes to Age Limit:

i.) The upper age limit will be relaxable for OBC candidates by 03 years and SC/ST candidates by 05 years. For candidates belonging to PwBD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years‟ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.

ii.) SSLC/SSC/ISC mark card and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth.

iii.) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to attach copy of necessary certificate along with application and submit in original in case of selection or provide at any subsequent stage of the process for verification.

iv.) The EWS/Caste/Disability Certificate should be strictly in the format available on the BEL website failing which, candidates will be considered under „General‟ category, provided they are otherwise meeting all other criteria stipulated for General Candidates.

v.) Candidates belonging to OBC category (Non creamy layer) should produce the certificate issued on or after 01.04.2021.

Selection Procedure for BEL Recruitment 2023:

i.) Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the BEL Recruitment 2023 advertisement.

ii) A written test will be used to select candidates, followed by an interview (of those who are shortlisted in the written test). The written test will be worth 85% of the marks, while the interview will be worth 15%. Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted for interviews in the order of merit, category, and discipline in a 1:5 ratio.

iii) The names of candidates who have been shortlisted for written tests/interviews and final selection will be posted on our website.

The duly filled in application form along with relevant documents mentioned above should be sent through post to:

Envelope containing the application form should be super scribed with “Application for the post of TRAINEE ENGINEER/PROJECT ENGINEER.”

If a candidate submits more than one application for the same position, only the application for which a bank receipt is deposited will be considered. In addition, if a candidate submits two applications with bank receipts for the same position, only the application with the most recent registration number will be considered. Candidates applying for more than one position, however, must complete two separate application forms with separate payment receipts for each post.

Applications that do not contain the requisite enclosures or with illegible enclosures, incomplete application forms and candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement will be summarily rejected.
