Bengaluru Customs Arrests a Passengers at Airport for Smuggling Foreign Currency Worth Rs 24.33 lakhs On 21.01.2022, Bengaluru Customs, arrested a male passenger traveling from Mumbai to Bengaluru and bound to travel to Dubai. The passenger was attempting to smuggle foreign currency concealed in his check-in luggage. Based on an information provided by DRI (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence), Customs officials searched the luggage of the accused and seized foreign currency worth Rs. 24,33,730. Custom officials seized foreign currency worth Rs. 24,33,730 from the accused. The passengers is under custody and further investigation is under process.
