Bengaluru Customs Seized 4.82 Tons Red Sanders Worth Rs. 2.4 Crore Bengaluru Customs officers at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Whitefield Seized 4.82 Tons Red Sanders Worth Rs. 2.4 Crore. Total 4.82 Tons Red Sanders worth Rs. 2.4 crore was concealed in plywood boxes, an export consignment declared as “Furniture” bound for Taiwan. It was mislabeled as furniture intended for export to Taiwan, a few pieces were placed in front of officials at the depot to deceive them. When officials from the ICD were inspecting one of the containers, they discovered the racket. On the top, they discovered fragments of sofa sets and dining tables. They discovered three huge red sander logs inside one of the containers after additional investigation. Custom officials arrested 3 persons, including the mastermind.
