Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Patna has invited online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 170461 Vacancies for the post of Primary Teacher (Class 1-5), Secondary Teacher (Class 9-10), and Post Graduate Teacher (Class 11-12). Detail-wise vacancies are mentioned below:

Age Limit for BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification the age criteria for general category candidates is a minimum of 18 and 21 Years for Primary School Teachers/Higher Secondary School Teachers, a Maximum of 37 Years for Males, and a Maximum of 40 Years for Females.

Qualification Requried for BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023:

The educational qualification required for the post of primary teacher is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The educational qualification required for the post of a secondary school teacher is a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The educational qualification required for the post of post-graduate teacher is a Master’s degree in Education and a Ph.D. degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Detail-wise qualification is mentioned below:

For the Post of Primary Teacher (Class 1-5)

1. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and hold a B.Ed degree.
2. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream along with a Diploma in Elementary Education.
3. Candidate should Complete 10+2 Intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks and obtain a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a Special Diploma.
4. Candidate should Complete 10+2 Intermediate with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and obtained a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
5. Candidate should Complete 10+2 Intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks and have a 4-year BLEd degree.
6. Candidate should have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks and have a B.Ed-Med 3-year degree.
   Additionally, You must have passed the CTET Paper I or BTET Paper I test.

Secondary Teacher (Class 9-10) 

1. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and also possess a B.Ed degree.
2. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and also possess a B.Ed degree.
3. Candidate should have completed a 4-year degree program in BAEd (Bachelor of Arts in Education) or BSc (Bachelor of Science in Education).
4. Candidate should have successfully passed the STET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper I exam.

Post Graduate Teacher (Class 11-12)

1. Candidate should have a Master’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and also possess a B.Ed degree.
2. Candidate should have a Master’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and also possess a B.Ed degree.
3. Candidate should have a Master’s degree in a related subject and have completed a 4-year degree program in BAEd (Bachelor of Arts in Education) or BSc (Bachelor of Science in Education).
4. Candidate should have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks and have a B.Ed-Med 3-year degree.
