Breaking UGC NET New Exam Date Out; Check New Exam Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced revised dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 June session on Friday, after the earlier scheduled exam was cancelled due to alleged question paper leaks.

The UGC NET 2024 exam, also known as the UGC NET June 2024 Cycle, is scheduled to take place from 21st August to 4th September, as per the most recent release. Before, more than 9 lakh applicants took part in the UGC NET June shift exam, which was first administered on 18th June in two shifts over 317 cities. The exam was originally set for 19th June but the Ministry of Education later cancelled it due to worries about integrity being compromised as a result of purported breaches that were reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C).

The revised exam dates and format were communicated to candidates by the NTA in a notice titled “NTA Examination Calendar for upcoming Examinations.” The UGC NET June 2024 Cycle will henceforth be administered via a computer-based test (CBT), replacing the previous pen-and-paper method.
