• The applicant should have 03 years Diploma in the relevant trade issued by the Directorate General, Civil Aviation.
  The applicant must have a Diploma in Group `X’ in the relevant trade issued by the Indian Air Force.

For Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (Assistant Sub-Inspector)-

• Applicant must have a 3-year Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation.
• Applicant should have a Diploma in Group `X’ issued by the Indian Air Force.
• A candidate who has 2 years of relevant aviation experience after completion of a diploma course is Preferable.

For Senior Flight Gunner (Inspector)-

• The candidate must have a of total 1000 flying hours on Multi multi-engine helicopters and a minimum of 250 hours on the type of Helicopter (or variants for deputation or re-employment) operated by the Border Security Force i.e. MI-17 and MI-17 Variants.
• Medically fit for flying as per Indian Air Force.
• Minimum flying category ‘B’ on any type of Multi-Engine Helicopter (or variants for deputation or re-employment).

For Senior Aircraft Mechanic (Inspector)-

• Officials Central Government or the State Government or Public Sector Undertaking, holding analogous posts or in level-6 in the pay matrix Rs 35400 to Rs.112400 with 5 years of regular service in the grade.

For Senior Radio Mechanic (Inspector)-

• Officials under the Central Government or the State Government, or Public Sector Undertaking holding analogous posts on a regular basis or in the level-6 in the pay matrix Rs 35400 to RS. 112400 with 5 years of regular service in the grade.

For Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (Assistant Sub-Inspector)-

• The applicant must be under Central Government/ State Government/ Public Sector Undertakings holding analogous posts on a regular basis or in Level-4 in the pay matrix Rs. 25500 to Rs. 81100 with 5 years of regular service.

For Senior Flight Gunner (Inspector)-

• Officials under the Central Government or the State Government-
• The applicant must hold analogous posts on a regular basis With 5 years of regular service the the level-6 in the pay matrix is Rs.35400 to Rs.112400.
